Who knew it was so hard to stop eating after 8pm?
I tried the diet challenge this week, cutting out everything except water after 8pm. I found that I was so used to nighttime snacking that I automatically felt hungry while watching TV, even though I had eaten a good sized dinner just two hours before.
Looking at my WW points for the week, I saw that I was doing a better job of balancing out my meals - breakfast was still my smallest meal, but it was still closer to lunch and dinner, and dinner wasn't an enormous meal in the evening. I think that maybe my hunger is also coming from my body expecting a large dinner and getting a moderate dinner instead.
My trick that is working so far is to save a few points for a 7:30pm snack, right after I put the kids to bed. That last little bit of food helps me get through the night.
And for those doing the fitness challenge, I'll share my latest measurements with you:
Chest (underbust): 36.25"
Push-ups (modified): 23
I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled I am about the push-ups. Sure, they're still on my knees, but I've really worked on form, and at first I couldn't even do 10. I'm looking forward to seeing new measurements in a few weeks.
